Frequently Asked Questions

Getting Started
How do I get started?

The first step is a free 15-minute phone consultation. It’s a chance for us to talk about what’s going on, for you to ask any questions you have, and to get a sense of whether we’d be a good fit — no commitment, no pressure. If you decide to move forward, we’d start with a 50-minute session.

Where is your office?

I see clients in person at my office in Brooklyn, New York. I also offer virtual therapy via a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform for anyone in New York State.

Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes. I offer telehealth sessions via a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform for anyone in New York State. I have daytime and evening appointments available for both in-person and virtual sessions.

What are your qualifications?

I hold a Master’s in Clinical Social Work from NYU and have been a licensed therapist in New York since 2007. I have additional training from the Martha K. Selig Institute and the Ackerman Institute for the Family, and I’m a verified member of the International OCD Foundation.

Fees & Insurance
What are your fees?

Individual sessions are $200 for 50 minutes. Couples sessions are $250. I typically meet with clients weekly. I do have a limited number of sliding scale spots — feel free to ask.

Do you accept insurance?

I’m out-of-network with most insurance plans. I provide superbills that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement, depending on your out-of-network benefits.

Areas of Focus
What kinds of anxiety do you work with?

I work with a broad range of anxiety presentations — generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic, overthinking, perfectionism, and intrusive thoughts. I draw from CBT, DBT, and psychodynamic approaches, and I tailor treatment to each person I work with.

Do you work with couples?

Yes. I work with couples at all stages and backgrounds — whether you’re navigating communication breakdowns, recurring conflict, or simply want to invest in a stronger relationship. Couples sessions are $250 and available in person or via telehealth.

Can therapy help with a major life transition?

Yes. I work with adults navigating significant life changes — breakups, new jobs, relocation, becoming a parent, loss, shifts in identity. I can offer a space to process the emotions that come with change and move forward with more clarity and confidence.

Who do you typically work with?

I work with individuals aged 16 and up, as well as couples. Many of my clients identify as LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, or neurodivergent, and I’m committed to creating a practice where people feel genuinely seen and supported.
